AK_Paul For guitar, tabulature is very popular for specifying note placement, and I use manuscript/tab paper all the time. However, I find chord block diagrams great for studying moveable shapes, arpeggios etc. and getting the sounds under one’s fingers quickly. Strongly recommended!
